Projects

At Trident, we specialise in high-performance air conditioning, ventilation, electrical and lighting solutions for residential and commercial spaces across Auckland. From retail stores and offices to large-scale buildings, we design, install, and upgrade HVAC systems and electrical systems that are built to last.

Explore some of our recent projects below and see how we’ve helped our customers create comfortable, energy-efficient homes and businesses.

A bedroom corner with a wall-mounted white air conditioner, a small window with a roller shade, a brown bed with white pillows, a wooden nightstand with papers and a remote, and wall art including a framed photo and a print.

From villas to new builds, bungalows to townhouses - we’ve kitted out homes across Auckland with the right heat pump for the job. Whether it’s a single bedroom upgrade or a full-home ducted system, we’ve helped homeowners get their space sorted, no matter the shape, size, or era.

  • Custom solutions for every home: We’ve installed high-wall units in compact flats, discreet floor consoles in heritage villas, and full ducted systems in modern architectural builds. No two homes are the same - so neither are our installs.

  • Efficient, future-ready systems: Each unit is sized and selected to suit the space and usage. We prioritise quiet, energy-efficient options that deliver year-round comfort - without blowing the power bill or clashing with your design aesthetic.

  • Smart placement, clean finishes: Interior and exterior units are carefully positioned to optimise airflow, minimise visual impact, and make life easier when it comes to servicing. From tight ceiling cavities to tricky outdoor spots, we find the best solution and make it look effortless.

These residential installs speak for themselves - tidy, tailored, and built to last. Whether you’re upgrading one room or planning a whole-home climate overhaul, the Trident team makes it easy, efficient, and a tad satisfying too.

Trident Air recently wrapped up a full HVAC upgrade at Carmel College, replacing tired old wall heaters with smart, energy-efficient heat pumps across multiple buildings. With over 10 new units installed in a mix of multi-storey blocks and classrooms, this was a project with plenty of moving parts - all handled without disrupting school hours.

  • Energy-efficient heat pumps: Out with the outdated, in with the efficient. We swapped in Panasonic nanoe™ X heat pumps, chosen for their ability to quietly heat and cool all year round while keeping power bills in check.

  • Strategic installation: A mix of wall-mounted and ceiling cassette units were installed to suit each space. From tight classrooms to larger learning areas, every unit was picked and placed for maximum impact.

This upgrade has given Carmel College a big step up in comfort, performance, and efficiency - with reliable climate control across the whole campus. That’s one less thing for teachers and students to worry about. Plus, our electrical team also gave the switchboard a well-needed upgrade.

Trident Air delivered a full commercial HVAC fitout for a new office space, built to boost comfort, productivity, and air quality for the team working inside. The job called for a tailored air conditioning setup - designed around the space, and built to perform.

  • Ceiling cassette installation: We fitted four ceiling cassette units in the open-plan workspace - the perfect choice for large, shared environments. They deliver consistent, zoned temperature control and look sharp doing it.

  • Fresh air & ventilation system: The mechanical ventilation system keeps fresh air flowing into each private office. That means cleaner air, better comfort, and a healthier place to work.

Bathroom extraction system: We also set up automated extraction for the bathrooms, using time clocks and sensors to keep things fresh without anyone having to think about it.

This commercial air conditioning fitout gave the client an energy-efficient, future-proof HVAC system - installed with care and ready to keep the space running smoothly. Plus, the electrical team installed a new switchboard.

Trident Air delivered a full commercial HVAC installation for Waiheke Living — a large, high-traffic retail store on Waiheke Island. The goal was to design a smart, efficient climate control system that keeps things comfortable for customers and staff, all year round.

  • High-efficiency ducting systems: We installed industrial-grade steel ducting to handle the demands of this big, open-plan space. The result is steady, energy-efficient airflow from front to back - essential for busy retail environments.

  • Customised climate control: Every store’s different, and this setup was tailored to suit Waiheke Living’s exact footprint and usage. That means reliable heating and cooling performance, no matter the season.

Seamless installation: We worked fast and clean, fitting the commercial HVAC system into the existing infrastructure with minimal disruption. Customers kept shopping, and the store didn’t miss a beat.

This retail air conditioning upgrade gave Waiheke Living a future-proof system that runs quietly, performs hard and isn’t an eyesore. Whether it’s a big-box store or boutique showroom, Trident designs HVAC systems that work with your space - not against it.

It was peak summer when Spotlight’s rooftop air conditioning system decided to tap out. With customers still walking through the doors, there was no time to waste. We turned up quick, diagnosed the issue, and kicked off a full system replacement to keep the store cool and business ticking.

  • Quick response and installation: We moved quickly to remove the failed system and install a brand new, high-performance HVAC unit. Getting it done right - and fast - was the name of the game.

  • Ducting and system enhancements: Alongside the new install, we reworked and improved the existing ducting system for better airflow and reliability. We also gave the system a full refresh to make sure it was running at peak performance.

  • Seismic restraints for safety: To meet industry safety standards, we installed seismic restraints to keep everything secure and up to code.

Whether it’s an emergency breakdown or a long-overdue upgrade, Trident Air delivers commercial HVAC solutions that keep your business humming - no stress, no hassle, and no shortcuts.

A local child care centre got in touch needing heating and cooling across multiple rooms - from quiet sleep spaces to busy play zones. With different needs in every corner, they needed a smart, flexible setup. We knew exactly what would do the trick: a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system.

  • Tailored comfort: A VRF system means individual temperature control in each room - so nap time, play time, and admin time all stay comfy, no matter what’s going on outside.

  • Efficient and reliable: These systems are ideal for environments where noise matters and performance counts. They’re energy efficient, reliable, and built to go the distance with minimal maintenance.

Every space is different - and so is every Trident job. We tailor every solution to the way your space is used, so you’re not overpaying for stuff you don’t need. Just a job done right, with no surprises.

When it comes to climate control for commercial spaces, especially ones with sensitive environments like childcare, it’s all about trust, timing, and doing it properly. That’s what we deliver.

When XPO shifted into their new high-end waterfront HQ, they needed a commercial air conditioning system that matched the calibre of the space - and the countdown to the America’s Cup meant there was no time to muck around. They gave Trident a call, and we got straight to it.

  • Perfect fit for a premium space: We installed a Mitsubishi Electric commercial HVAC system tailored to XPO’s high-end, high-performance needs.

  • Efficient and reliable: Mitsubishi is known for energy efficiency, reliability, and climate control you don’t have to think twice about. We got it installed on time, with no fuss, so XPO could focus on business - not airflow.

The new system keeps staff and clients comfortable year-round and sets them up with reliable HVAC that’ll go the distance as they grow. Whether it's a sleek new office or a tight event deadline, Trident delivers smart, scalable systems that fit the space - and the schedule.

When Two Dollar Things in Onehunga needed their old R22 system gone and a modern, energy-efficient upgrade in, they gave us a bell. This retail space runs hot, with big foot traffic and a wide-open layout - so we kitted it out with a system that could handle the pressure and keep things cool.

  • Customised ducted systems: We installed four powerful 16kW ducted air conditioning units - each one tailored to suit the store’s large, open-plan setup. These split systems deliver solid performance across heating and cooling, all year round.

  • Fresh air integration: To keep the air clean and healthy for customers and staff, we integrated a mechanical fresh air system into the fitout. Comfort isn’t just about temperature - it’s about breathing easy too.

  • Minimal disruption: Retail waits for no one. We worked around store hours to get the job done with minimal disruption. No downtime, no drama, just a sharp install that worked to their schedule.

This job brought the space up to spec, keeping it efficient, reliable, and ready for the next rush. That’s what we do at Trident: smart installs, smooth process, and commercial HVAC that pulls its weight.
